Celebrating the Magic of Words: Vayana Dhinam 2026
Our school campus came alive with the rustle of turning pages and the vibrant energy of young minds as we celebrated Vayana Dhinam (Reading Day) on June 19. The day commemorates the legacy of Sri P.N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala, whose timeless message—"Read and Grow, Think and Gain Wisdom"—resonates deeply within our school community.
Our celebration was a beautiful reminder that books are windows to the world, offering endless adventures, knowledge, and inspiration to our students.
A major highlight of the morning assembly was the solemn Reading Day Oath, gracefully administered by Mrs. Rani Mamen. Pointing to the profound impact that daily reading has on shaping character and intellect, Our teacher guided the entire school in pledging to make reading an inseparable part of their daily lives.
"Books are our truest companions and guides.
Following the official events, the school transformed into a literal reader’s paradise. Across all grade levels, classroom desks and reading corners were piled high with fiction, science, history, and poetry.
It was a joy to watch the children completely engrossed in their books across all grade levels, classroom desks and reading corners —some sharing quiet giggles over illustrations, others lost in deep concentration, traveling to fantasy worlds or uncovering scientific truths.
Let us keep this beautiful habit alive—not just for a day, but for a lifetime!
