A Trip to the Scotland of India:Coorg
"The most beautiful places are at the end of really bad roads".
Coorg fits this bill quite correctly. With its lure of coffee plantation, exotic honestays and the wild western ghats,we know coorg would be the best palce for the school tour. Thus, our HS segment with great fest and enthusiasm set on a two nights tour on 21st Nov to Coorg. The three colourful buses fully packed with 150 students and teachers headed for the hill station.the students were extremely excited to reach the destination.Throughout the journey the students kept singing and dancing till they reached the venue.A visit to various spots like Dunare Elephant Camp, golden temple and Bamboo forest were experienced. The most enchanting activity of the picnic was the boat ride that took us to the Dubare elephant camp. After a tiring and fun packed morning we all headed for lunch. The dining hall filled with the fragrance of food triggered our hunger and all relished the south indian cuisine. The next spot was the exotic golden temple, the Namdroling Monastery which is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of tibetan Buddhsm in the world. Finally we visited the bamboo forest,a relaxing place in coorg. On the outskirts of this spot, an exotic shopping centre was explored by the students and teachers. We stared at round 7 pm the school buses stared homeward journey and all of us reached our destination safe and sound with nostalgic memories.
